Vision Friendly Support Network

Practices using Vision are encouraged to join the National Vision User Group (NVUG), a friendly support network of Vision enthusiasts that helps Vision users of all abilities to get the most from their system.
What is NVUG?
NVUG was established in 1984, which makes it the oldest independent user group in primary care computing. It works with INPS to make sure the company and product strategies are in line with the needs of Vision users.
NVUG also works with the BMA, RCGP, GPRD and other national organisations, and was instrumental in establishing a forum for all user groups to meet with the BMA to discuss important issues.
24/7 assistance
The NVUG website (www.nvug.org) contains a wealth of useful resources to help Vision users, and the electronic discussion forums are available to members to discuss hints, tips and advice regarding the use of Vision.
The NVUG Forum is used by many experienced Vision users and you will usually find an answer to any problem or query you may have regarding the use of Vision. There is also a separate technical discussion list where there are currently more than 90 members who can usually answer the more complex technical queries regarding Vision, server and workstation operating systems and other technical issues.
NVUG Events
Each year NVUG holds a national conference, which gives Vision users and PCTs an opportunity meet other users, share knowledge and to learn about Vision from experienced enthusiasts.
Joining NVUG
NVUG aims to be your voice with INPS, monitoring and influencing software development and service quality. NVUG also represents the interests of Vision users at important national committees. The more Vision users that are NVUG members, the stronger its voice!
INPS pays for each practice’s first year of NVUG membership when they migrate to Vision. If you are interested in finding out more about NVUG please have a look at their website (www.nvug.org).
