Saving Time

Port Ellen Practice is managed by Katy Pottinger and Jacqueline Campell, and they moved from GPASS to Vision in June 2008. Since then they have discovered how Vision can help to save time and improve efficiency at the practice.
Katy explains, “The appointments book is clear and simple to use. The ability to add comments to each appointment slot saves us time during busy surgeries, as messages can be passed between our GPs and admin staff. We also use them to let GPs know what the patient is attending for so they can be suitably prepared.”
Jacqueline says the practice is also saving time with Vision during consultations, “The filters in Consultation Manager make it quick and easy to find the information we are looking for, and the yellow ‘post-it’ reminders are particularly useful. They let our GPs and nurses see at a glance which QOF indicators are outstanding, so we don’t have to recall patients for additional appointments.”
