Numed ECG Integration

The ECG integration solution from INPS Alliance Partner, Numed, allows Vision users to file high quality ECG tests within patient records. It is a quick and simple process that will also save time.

The integrated solution is based on GE Marquette ECG products, as used in the majority of UK hospitals. Numed provide a complete service that involves full installation, on-site training and support.

CardioSoft PC Based ECG

Numed’s fully integrated CardioSoft ECG system is very simple to use:

  1. The patient is selected within Vision, and their details are transferred to the ECG software
  2. The ECG software displays the ECG trace in your selected format
  3. Using a simple traffic light system the ECG software highlights potential problems with wires or electrode connections, ensuring  ECG’s of the highest quality
  4. Once the ECG test has been acquired, it is filed within the patient’s record in Vision with a single button click. This Read codes that an ECG has been done and files a high quality Choose and Book compliant PDF report to the patient record, along with any manually entered notes

The advantage of integration

A fully integrated ECG system has many advantages for the practice:

  • The process is much faster than manual data entry and the reduced administration burden allows more patients to be tested in any given time
  • The ECG traces are filed directly to the records as high quality PDFs. This makes them ideal for referral purposes and have full Choose and Book compatibility
  • ECG’s are always filed to the correct patient and there is a reduced risk of data duplication using this integrated system
  • All clinicians have immediate access to completed ECG’s and quality hard copies can be printed at any Vision workstation within the practice

MAC1200 Trolley Based ECG

For those who prefer a more traditional desktop or trolley based integrated ECG solution, Numed also offer integration with the GE Marquette MAC 1200 ECG.  This works in a very similar way to the CardioSoft system except the ECG tests are transferred to the patient medical records after the ECG has been saved in the memory of the device.
