Training Needs Assessment

INPS Training Services are launching a new and innovative Training Needs Assessment service for Vision customers that is free-of-charge and identifies how well your staff utilise Vision.

The assessment is in two parts:

1. The first being self assessment where the participant selects how confident they are using various topics in Vision
2. The second part is a multiple choice test with a pass mark of 80% - a score below this is an indication that training may be required in that area.

The Assessment is role based:

• GPs
• Nurses
• Admin
  This section is divided into various modules which staff can bypass if it is not included in their role
• IT
  This section covers searches, guidelines, clinical audit etc. and is intended for the staff member responsible for these areas.  They also may wish to complete the admin assessment as well.

Following the completion of the role based assessment the individual will be shown which answers are correct and which are incorrect (and given the correct answer to facilitate increasing their knowledge).

Once all your staff has completed the assessment we will review and devise a training programme (if required) for the practice or group of practices in an area where training can be shared.

We expect there will be a high demand for this service, so requests will be scheduled in order and an estimated scheduled date will be given.

The following reports will be e-mailed to the practice:

• A survey report for self assessment, for each role, which collates the responses from all participants
• A coaching report for each participant for the self assessment
• A grade report for the Multiple Choice Assessment in one simple table giving the percentage of questions correctly answered by each participant and split into roles.
• A coaching report for each participant for the Multiple Choice Assessment which gives the questions and answers

Utilising this service will also assist in your appraisal, development plans and certified learning.
