Vision for the General Practitioner
Who should attend?
General Practitioners who have at least some basic knowledge of Vision
A half-day course specifically designed for General Practitioners.
Pre-requisite
Delegates must of attended a pre-live training course or one of the following listed below instructed by a qualified INPS training consultant:
Objective
This course is designed to enable General Practitioners to be more confident in the day-to-day usage of Vision.
Consistent data entry is key to meeting the requirements of the new GP Contract.
Course Content
Consultation Manager
- Recording Consultation Details and Summaries
- Clinical Record Keeping – historical and current records of patient care
- Data Entry Protocols – consistent use of READ Codes and Structured Data Areas
Clinical Decision Support
- Prodigy and other CDS where applicable
Overview of Guidelines
- Using guidelines to consistent data entry and in particular those supporting existing and emerging clinical priorities eg: NSFs and the proposed new GP Contract
Prescribing
- Issue\add\print acute prescriptions
- Amend prescriptions – update dosages\quantities\change from brand to generic
- Using formularies
- Issue\add\print\re-authorise Repeat Prescriptions
Test Results
- Add\find and review test results
Course Duration - 2.5 hours
