Vision for the Computer Manager
Who should attend?
Computer Managers/staff members with overall responsibility for the system with a good working knowledge of Vision
This course is aimed at the person responsible for day-to-day management of the clinical system.
Pre-requisite
Delegates must of attended a pre-live training course or one of the following listed below instructed by a qualified INPS training consultant:
- Vision for New Staff
- Vision and the General Practitioner
- Vision and the Practice Nurse
- Vision and the Receptionist
- Vision Data Entry (Non Clinical Staff)
Objective
This course will cover topics that the Computer Manager needs to understand and will enable them to be more confident in their day-to-day management of the system.
Course Content
- Housekeeping Functions
- Staff Maintenance and Security Functions
- Consultation Manager – configuration and customisation
- Prescribing
- Formularies – setting up and maintaining Drug and READ formularies
- Test Results
- Registration
- Items of Service (Wales)
- Appointments
- Speeding up data entry
Course Duration - 5 hours
Course Type: Hands on or seminar style
A more limited session of 2.5 hours is also available, covering most of the above topics but in less depth.
