Updated Course! Searches and Reports: Part Two

INPS Training Services are offering an updated and extended training course on Searches and Reports
Part Two.

Vision’s Search and Reports module has been enhanced with the release of DLM 270 and this course will enable users to utilise these changes.  In addition to this, the alterations to the “Recalls” structured data area within DLM 280 suggest that work should be undertaken to take maximum benefit of these changes.  This hands on course will explain and demonstrate this task.

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for those who already have some understanding of running searches and would like to increase that knowledge.

Pre-Requisites:

Delegates should have an understanding of basic searches

Course Content:

  • The elements of the Ad Hoc search window
  • Setting search parameters – entities and selections
  • Searching for negatives ie: patients without data recorded
  • Interrogating data and improving its quality
  • The AND|OR problem
  • Searching the new “Recall” and “Cautions” Structured Data Areas
  • Incorporating Clinical Audit results into Searches
  • Adding Clinical information to printed reports
  • Confidential Reports
  • Report Output options
  • Using “Options” to define searches with emphasis on reporting function
  • Hints and Tips to speed up Searches
  • Simplifying complex searches by using batches and schedule
  • New options for organising and filtering existing Creating letters for groups of patients
  • Exporting data – the basics


Times:        10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Costs:        £135 plus VAT for the first delegate and £85 for second delegate sharing a pc with the first (maximum 2 delegates per pc)

What next?

Searches and Reports part three enables users to export and analyse their Vision Data within Excel.  The ability to filter and sort results, identify trends, spot anomalies, search freetext, create pivot tables, and graphs enables the user to extract a much higher quality of information than that which may currently be available. – coming in the Autumn
