Keep your Vision system in optimum condition
Book a Vision System Check to make sure your Vision system is up-to-date and let us fix any issues that might impact how well your system runs. If there's any spare time we will give you a refresh on any aspect of Vision as well.
Who is the Vision System Check & Training day for?
It is recommended that all Vision practices book a Vision System Check & Training once a year.
Pre-requisites
Delegates must have attended pre-live Vision training or one of the following INPS training courses:
- Vision for New Staff
- Vision and the General Practitioner
- Vision and the Practice Nurse
- Vision and the Receptionist
- Vision Data Entry (Non Clinical Staff)
Course Content
The following checks will ensure that your Vision system is in optimum condition (not all of these checks are not needed at practices using the VES centrally-hosted Managed Service):
Downloads
- Check the latest QOF guideline is installed
- Check the INPS audits are up-to-date
- Check the latest HPA and/or other audits are up to date
- Download recent/important DLM user guides
- Set up nurse/supplementary prescribers
Registration module checks
- Incomplete registration links report
- Incomplete patients report
- Respond to FP69 prior notifications
- Expired or expiring FP69 prior notifications
- Medical records not received by TP
- Medical records not sent to TP
Registration Links checks
- Medical Records sent by TP report
- Outstanding error files
- Unacknowledged acceptances over 3 weeks old
- Outstanding quarterly archive
- Database reconciliation
GP Communicator checks
- Attention folder
- Check you have received all pathology messages
- Check QOF Report schedule
Mail Administrator – Pathology checks
- Highlight all pathology results not read after 1 week
- Outstanding actions not completed after 2 weeks, checking Swap Mode for Doctors' actions
General checks
- Latest DLMs installed
- Backup jobs, ensuring the use of the 10 tape strategy and keeping of written records
- Re-index has run overnight Therapy update
- Clinical Audit configured to be generated automatically
- Pocket Vision has run overnight (where applicable)
- Overnight schedules to ensure no clashes
- Server hard disk space\GPC/ebXML machine has sufficient hard disk space
- P:\Groupman*.* files are no larger than 2gb
- The recommended version of Internet Explorer is running
Further Assistance
- Check/Set-up any new users as well as security
- Review Consultation Manger screen setup to best suit role
- Overview on the latest DLM changes
- Anti-Virus/Spyware/Adware Check if up to date
- Check OOH messaging -Incoming (where applicable)
- Check CAB messaging - outgoing (where applicable)
Archiving
- Check that CAB can do PDS updates to the spine and eReferrals (where applicable)
- And after all the above if there is time the trainer will offer refresher training on topics chosen by the practice
