Regular training helps experienced Vision users
Cindy O’Garro, Practice Manager at the Staunton Group Practice in London has been using Vision since it was first available. Cindy has seen Vision develop over time and understands the importance of regular training. Jim Hiatt, INPS Training Consultant, visited the Staunton Group Practice to reaffirm Cindy and her team’s view that Vision training from INPS helps them to save time and work more effectively.

Trained by experts
Hasan Mehmet, the IT Support Administrator, explains how Jim’s knowledge of Mail Manager helped the practice to save valuable time and money, “Jim showed us new options that will reduce the workload and increase the efficiency of our GPs, receptionists and the admin team, and help us to save money on postal services.”
Save valuable time
Jim also showed the practice how to use new and existing functionality in Mail Manager. Gwen Dixon, Assistant Practice Manager, was delighted with this, “If the house-keeping side of Mail Manager is not maintained, performance can slow down. By implementing the ‘Default Action’ setting we will now be able to process clinical results marked ‘Read for archiving’. I also liked the new filter for ‘Mail Category’. As a result of Jim’s training we will be able to complete our pathology result management more quickly.”
Gain an advantage
Jim helped the team to take advantage of the new changes within DLM 310. Hasan says, “I was not aware of the changes in DLM 310 and they will make a significant difference. Gwen adds, “We are now involving our IT Support Administrator to ensure users are informed, prior to the download. This way we only get pleasant surprises!”
Priceless
Learning how to search appointments by date demonstrated how priceless Vision training can be. Gwen commented, “This is a great function that our reception staff will welcome. It will save time and enhance the overall booking and management of appointments.” Hasan says, “It will be especially useful for GPs who will be able to check if a patient already has an appointment booked before requesting one.”
Refresher training
Sometimes refresher training can make a world of difference to your practice. Practice Administrator, David Jones, describes how regular training enriches the practice’s knowledge of Vision, “Going over guidelines was good, it’s one of those things that because you don’t use it all the time you forget. It was good to review existing functionality and be updated on new things.”
Enjoy the benefits
Cindy concludes, “Everyone agreed that the training day will most definitely save them time: less time troubleshooting results, choose and book rejections and searching appointments.” The Staunton Group practice has a very positive attitude towards Vision Training. “With trainers like Jim, we are encouraged to get the best from the Vision software. This is a consistent part of the service Vision provides. I know I will always come away with something new.” Vision Training is a valuable service that the Staunton Group Practice takes seriously, because they enjoy the benefits. INPS asked them if they would recommend Vision training. “Definitely - and have done. Training is valuable to support the overall development of services within GP and to enable the practice team members (Clinical/Non-Clinical) to achieve both the Practice and their personal goals and objectives in their work.”
