01/08/07

PRIMIS have changed some of the criteria of the IMT DES (England) in version 2.2. These audits will be distributed in DLM 250 Download, and also available for download from this page. The changes to the criteria will be visible on the user guide, IMT DES user Guide for Vision v2.2. All the changes are marked in bold in the user guide and are also explained in the “What’s New in Version 2.2” section.

DLM 237 brings IM&T DES (England) Data Quality monitoring audits (which mimic MIQUEST queries) and Additional DES reports, run in Excel. These complement and add to CHART. Import the audits from O:\Download\audit in Vision Clinical Audit after DLM 237. A subsequent audit will also be distributed in DLM 250 as we found a small error when reminders are triggered in these searches, however we do not advise that reminders are activated against the IM&T DES audits. The latest audits can be downloaded from here and will extract to o:\download\audit:

(We have identified a small typo in the previous version 13, which meant that Read Code 14O9-At Risk Of Osteoporosis was not picked up in the Therapy vs Diagnosis report.)

Split Practices

The rest of this article is specifically for practices that had a patient “split”, as they have to follow different set of instructions to normal practices.

IM&T DES QUERIES FOR PRACTICES THAT HAD A SPLIT:

We have become aware that the IM&T DES Miquest queries will extract incorrect information for practices that had a partner “split” in the past. This is because the Miquest queries will extract patient data that are not linked to a patient registered with the practice. We have created an additional Miquest query that will run concurrently to the IM&T DES queries that will prevent this from happening. ONLY PRACTICES THAT HAD A “SPLIT” IN THE PAST NEED TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
