Internet Explorer 7 Auto-install Blocker Utility
27/10/06
Microsoft will be distributing Internet Explorer 7 as a high-priority update via Automatic Updates during the last quarter of 2006. At present, Choose and Book is not compatible with Internet Explorer 7.
The Choose and Book Team are working with Atos Origin (the Choose and Book National Application Service Provider) to ensure that Choose and Book is compliant with IE7.
In the meantime Internet Explorer 7 should not be used with Choose and Book. This advice is consistent with that provided by NHS CFH regarding all NPfIT applications.
Internet Explorer 7 will only download via Automatic Updates for Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1. The automatic installation of Internet Explorer 7 on these platforms can be disabled by installing a patch from Microsoft.
