In certain circumstances, a GP2GP transfer may occur without the scanned images being sent electronically. This will only become evident to the receiving practice when trying to view the scanned image when you will receive the following message;
“The following file could not be included with the Electronic Record: 0034000A.XXX"
Although in most cases the clinical information will already be in the patient record, you may wish to have a copy of the original document. If the sending practice has not already sent paper copies then it is possible to ask them to send a copy and attach it to the record.
To stop this issue occurring , we are sending instructions to every Vision practice to ask them to check that they have Docman installed on their eBXML machine and that they have a NACS code set up in Docman. You may wish to check your system ahead of this email. Instructions are available by following the links below.

Docman NACS code Setup Guide
If you are on a hosted (VES) system you will not need to check your eBXML machine as this will have already been done for you. However, we would advise that you check your Docman system to ensure that your NACS code is present.
