Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine & Pneumococcal Conjugate Prevenar 13

It has come to our attention that pneumococcal conjugate vaccine & pneumococcal conjugate prevenar 13 are being treated as distinctly different immunisations.

We also recognise that there is a  potential issue in that the system is prompting the user to give another vaccine when the course is already complete. We shall make a programming change to prevent this as soon as is reasonably possible, but in the meantime please be vigilant should you get prompted to give “Pneumococcal conjugate Prevanar13” to children above the age of 14 months and check that the record does not say they have already had “Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine”
