Vision Helpline Portal
INPS is pleased to announce the launch of the Helpline Portal, a facility that provides practices and PCTs with interactive web-based access to its call logging system. Vision users will be able to track the progress of their calls without the need to contact the Helpline.
Each practice will be given their own unique login to access the system where they will be able to view log status and details with the need to phone the Helpline, saving valuable time. In addition, practices can communicate with the Helpline by using the “Add Note” facility, which can be used before or after the call is resolved. If required, users can also upload attachments to their call records.
Accessing the portal
The portal can be accessed by visiting this following link:
www.inps.co.uk/helplineportal (N3 access required)
A username and password will be distributed to the designated practice manager’s email address for each practice. One account per practice will be issued and should be shared amongst practice staff.
Viewing call detail
After login a list of all calls will be displayed on screen. A filtering bar is present at the top of the summary screen, allowing users to search for specific call attributes within the View Call Summary screen. Selecting any of the calls in the screen will launch the call detail and history screen.
Add Note facility
This is a useful feature that enables portal users to communicate with Helpline staff, without the need to phone or email. The Helpline will be alerted to the fact that a note has been added by a customer and will respond accordingly. Please note, that for urgent queries we recommend contacting the Helpline by phone.
A note can be added at any time during the call lifecycle – even after it is resolved and closed. If you have a query relating to the resolution for example, then it can be made in this way.
Please make sure that no clinical or patient identifiable data is added.
